Yes, I agree with 9anchors that this song is uplifting. It makes me feel a little sad but also joyful kind of like hopeful! This is a song of unity and love. Is the song dedicated to one of the star who died whose name is Zhang Ju??? I have listened to this song for a couple of times!! Their vocal is great in Mandarin!! The spirit of Chinese people is strong! Peace!!

In memory of Chinese Bass player & artist, 张炬 (Zhang Ju)…
    Name: 礼物 (Gift)
    About Zhang Ju(1970-1995):
A deceased member of the Tang Dynasty rock band of China, PR.
In 1995, Ju died in a motorcycle accident on the Zizhuqiao (Purple Bamboo Bridge) freeway overpass in western Beiing.

    About the song:
This song was recorded in memory of Zhang Ju, by an array of rock music artists & bands in China, including the Tang Dynasty. “Gift” is to glorify the him as a rock artist& to show their thankfulness.

great music ! hen hao ! wo hen gaoxing
but i guess i have to improve my chinese to express my feelings in this language (:-)

  12. BeijingBoobTube 说:

I wouldnot say Zhang Ju is the “godfather of bass in China”. Hes one of the forerunners of heavy music in China. But generally speaking there are very many bassists in China who are technically superior to, and more musically experienced than Zhang Ju. Zhang Ju was a promising young metal prog-rock musician, but his life was simply cut too short. We cant lament on this, but to move on and make the best.

Remember illegal occupation of Tibet, East Turkestan & Genocide in Darfur. The rest of the world will never forget nor forgive endless disgusting crimes against humanity by PRC. Not only BBC and CNN but even AlJazeera TV strongly condemns disgusting HATE crimes against mankind by Chinese regime&its people in this century.PRC did sabotage dispatch of full UN Protection force in UN security council.PRC supplied AKs, grenades&other killing machines to African dictators for blood oil.

USA will outsource music production to China, for it’s cheaper; The know-how of 12 note well tempered music scale seems to take ground

  20. lilyuanie 说:

not likely, i assure you, chinese music industry is still pretty “primitive” .there are some very good composers tho
